OK Composer
Project Summary
OK Composer is a longstanding concert series held at CalArts during the school year. It is an open invitation to all students for original musical performances. My colleague and I, began preparing, organizing, and leading the event last summer.
Design
We created our own guidelines for each concert. Our goal was to prioritize marginalized voices, align performance themes, and create a narrative throughline between each concert with the intent to build the series into a universe. I also create original program designs with a loose story/theme in mind (i.e. the sciences).
